Carlos Garcia
Attorney & Partner
Carlos is a fearless trial attorney known for taking on the toughest cases and producing results. As Managing Partner of Garcia Gutierrez Law Group, Carlos dedicates his entire practice to defending clients facing serious criminal charges in state and federal courts across Colorado, Texas, and the District of New Mexico.
With nearly two decades of experience in the criminal justice system, Carlos brings a battle-hardened perspective few can match. He began his legal career in 2005 as a criminal litigation paralegal in the U.S. Army JAG Corps and later served as a Legal Administrator for the Army’s Complex Litigation Division under U.S. Army Forces Command. He’s worked behind the curtain of high-level prosecution, giving him rare insight into how prosecutors build—and how they break. After his final tour in Afghanistan from 2018 to 2019, Carlos went into private practice as a defense lawyer. Today, he uses his knowledge and experience to defend clients in court and help secure their future.
Carlos is one of the few attorneys to have secured a pretrial dismissal of a major federal drug case in the District of New Mexico—a near-impossible feat in a system where the federal conviction rate exceeds 98%. This level of success is not luck. It’s strategy. It’s experience. It’s obsession with the details.
A graduate of St. Mary’s University School of Law and several courses at The Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School in Charlotteville, Virginia, Carlos applies military precision to every defense. He fights with the discipline of a soldier and the mind of a tactician—because when your future is on the line, you need more than a lawyer. You need a force.
Carlos is that force.
